You can plant the coir tube pot directly into the ground (or into a bigger pot), which will eliminate root disturbance and help keep your plant happy. The roots will make their way through the pot and into the soil. The pot itself will decompose within two months.

Description

Salvia canariensis.

Rarely found in cultivation, this is a large perennial evergreen shrub native to the Canary Islands.

It loves full sun conditions and is drought tolerant.

Traditionally, the leaves were used in tea by shepherds. It was used as a mouth wash, a tonsillitis treatment, to treat inflammation and fever, to reduce blood sugar and as a general tonic.

It is an analgesic, and contains antioxidants. It has antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and antibiotic properties.

The leaves are beautifully fragrant and the purple / magenta flowers are stunning in spring through summer.
