Description

Leonotis leonurus. 

Native to South Africa, this evergreen plant grows to about 1.5m in height and offers striking electric orange flowers through summer and the warmer months.

This hardy perennial can handle most soil types with good drainage and it is drought tolerant. It prefers a full sun position.

The plant has a long history of medicinal use by African tribes, being used for snake bites, headaches, chest infections and many other ailments.

A great addition to the garden.
