Madeira Sage Germander – 1.1L coir pot

1.1L coir pot.

You can plant the coir pot directly into the ground, which will eliminate root disturbance and help keep your plant happy. The roots will make their way through the pot and into the soil. The pot itself will decompose within two months. Alternatively, you can use it as a decorative pot plant as the coir pot will last between 12-18 months (then you can plant it in the ground).

Teucrium betonicum.

This hardy, low growing, evergreen shrub has lovely grey-green foliage (which is mildly aromatic).

In the warmer months, striking purple flowers will appear on spikes. Remove the spent flower heads.

The plant enjoys a full sun or part shade position in well draining soil. It does well in dappled light and can be grown as a foliage plant, growing to about 80cm high by 80cm wide.

The plant requires minimal maintenance and care. Once it is established, it will only require extra water in the warmer months.
