Description
Echinacea purpurea.
Also known as Purple Coneflower, this herbaceous perennial offers stunning purple flowers with a cone-shape centre, throughout spring and summer, which will help to attract butterflies to the garden. The cut flowers keep well in a vase.
The plant is drought tolerant and enjoys a full sun position in well drained soil.
The plant will die down in winter and reshoot from the roots in spring.
Echinacea is a striking addition to the garden and should grow to about 80cm in height.
