You can plant the coir pot directly into the ground, which will eliminate root disturbance and help keep your plant happy. The roots will make their way through the pot and into the soil. The pot itself will decompose within about two months in healthy, watered soil.

A Cretan variety of wild chicory, Stamnagathi is a green, leafy superfood that can be eaten raw or cooked. 

This biennial – perennial vegetable prefers a full sun position and should grow about 25cm high. 

It prefers moist, free draining sandy – loam soil but it can generally handle various soil types.

Stamnagathi is a hardy plant that can handle salty conditions.

The plant has antirheumatic and antiseptic properties and it is rich in vitamins C and E, linoleic acid and omega-3 fatty acids.
