You can plant the coir pot directly into the ground, which will eliminate root disturbance and help keep your plant happy. The roots will make their way through the pot and into the soil. The pot itself will decompose within two months. Alternatively, you can use it as a decorative pot plant as the coir pot will last between 12-18 months (then you can plant it in the ground).

Description

Tanacetum vulgare.

Tansy is an attractive, spreading, herbaceous perennial shrub with bright yellow button-shaped flowers that appear in late spring to mid autumn.
 
Tansy is often used as a companion plant and it can help to attract beneficial insects into the garden. It can also help to deter a wide variety of unwanted pests (such as mosquitos).
 
The plant enjoys a full sun position in well-drained soil. It can tolerate a wide array of soil types and should grow to around 1m high by 50cm wide.
