Description
Clausena lansium. 19cm coir pot.
Native to Southeast Asia, this evergreen tree offers white flowers followed by yellow, grape-sized fragrant fruit that’s sweet and slightly acidic.
The fruit can be eaten fresh or used in drinks, jams, jellies and pies.
The fruit appears on the tips of the branches, so the less pruning, the better.
Traditionally used to treat coughs, fever and digestive issues, among other things.
The tree enjoys a warm, full sun position in fertile, moist, well draining soil, and should grow about 6m high.
