Description
Citrus australasica.
This slow growing, thorny shrub / small tree produces white flowers followed by green – yellow fruit that are often used in desserts and refreshing drinks. The fruit ripens through winter into spring.
The plant enjoys a full sun to part shade position in fertile, well draining soil and should grow around 3m high by 2m wide, although this is variable dependant on conditions. Ideal for pots.
Due to the thorns, this plant provides a great protected space for nesting birds.
