Description
Geranium robertianum. 1.1L coir pot.
Although not often used as a culinary herb, the tea made from the leaves and stems is believed by some to strengthen the immune system and act as a general health preventative.
For hundreds of years, the herb has been used as a foot infusion to help remove toxins, radiation and heavy metals from the body. A hot poultice made of steeped leaves has been used to help bruises and ongoing skin problems, along with bladder pains. Leaves from the plant have also been used as a gargle to assist with bleeding gums, sore throats and mouth ulcers.
This fast growing plant can handle most conditions but prefers a damp, shady position. It will grow to around 25cm high by 30cm wide.
The leaves can be used as a pest deterrent and can be added to pet’s bedding.
