You can plant the coir pot directly into the ground, which will eliminate root disturbance and help keep your plant happy. The roots will make their way through the pot and into the soil. The pot itself will decompose within about two months in healthy, watered soil.

Banisteriopsis caapi var. ‘Black Thunder’. 3.7L coir pot.
Native to the rainforests of South America, this fast growing vine is used to make ayahuasca, and traditionally used by the shamans of the indigenous Western Amazonian tribes in spiritual, ritual and healing ceremonies.
In its natural home, the vine can grow 30m – 40m, but this is reduced in a garden environment. A strong climbing frame is required.
The plant enjoys a humid, part shade position in moist, free draining soil.
