You can plant the coir pot directly into the ground, which will eliminate root disturbance and help keep your plant happy. The roots will make their way through the pot and into the soil. The pot itself will decompose within about two months in healthy, watered soil.

This native large shrub / small tree offers glossy green leaves and fragrant cream flowers, followed by edible fruit similar to guava (the plant is also known as Native Guava).
It enjoys a full sun to part shade position in moist, free draining soil, and should grow around 5m in height (it responds well to pruning).
Ideal for hedging and screening.
