Angelica keiskei koidzumi.
This rare plant is native to the Japanese island of Hachijojsma and is renowned for its rejuvenating properties.
The stems are edible and the leaves can be used in tea. The stems and leaves are high in vitamin B12, which is rather unusual in plants.
Best planted in a shady position, Ashitaba will flower twice a year and can grow to 1.5m.

You can plant the coir pot directly into the ground, which will eliminate root disturbance and help keep your plant happy. The roots will make their way through the pot and into the soil. The pot itself will decompose within about two months in healthy, watered soil.
