You can plant the coir pot directly into the ground, which will eliminate root disturbance and help keep your plant happy. The roots will make their way through the pot and into the soil. The pot itself will decompose within about two months in healthy, watered soil.
Passiflora mollissima. 3.7L coir pot.
Native to South America, this fast-growing, perennial, evergreen vine offers attractive pink flowers and elongated yellow-skinned fruit with a sweet pulp that tastes like a passionfruit with a hint of banana.
The plant enjoys a full sun position in well-draining soil and should grow around 3m – 4m high in the garden.
Self pollinating.
