This very hardy, perennial shrub is native to the coastal regions of south west WA.
The leaves are succulent-like and can be boiled or steamed. Similar in taste to salty spinach.
Small red berries appear from late summer to autumn, which are high in anti-oxidants.
The plant is drought tolerant once established and should grow about 1.5m in height.
It prefers a full sun position but can handle some shade.

You can plant the coir pot directly into the ground, which will eliminate root disturbance and help keep your plant happy. The roots will make their way through the pot and into the soil. The pot itself will decompose within about two months in healthy, watered soil.
