You can plant the coir pot directly into the ground, which will eliminate root disturbance and help keep your plant happy. The roots will make their way through the pot and into the soil. The pot itself will decompose within about two months in healthy, watered soil.

Native to parts of Asia, this fast-growing, perennial vine is also known as aparajita.

The flowers can be consumed fresh or dried, and are popular in tea.

The plant has a long history of medicinal use in ayurvedic medicine.

Extracts have analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and diuretic properties, among others.

The vibrant blue flowers can also be used as a natural dye.

The plant enjoys a full sun position in well draining soil, and is often grown on a trellis.

Can be used as a nitrogen-fixing cover crop.
