This Australian native offers blue berries with a refreshing crunch and an aromatic, lightly sweet taste. They’re ideal for using in jams, sauces, syrups and wines, or just eat them fresh.
The berries have traditionally been used to treat skin conditions, sore ears and wounds.
Creamy white flowers are produced from spring to winter.
Blue Lilly Pilly enjoy a full sun to part shade position in free draining soil, and should grow about 7m high by 4m wide in the garden (but can be maintained at a lesser size with pruning).
Makes a great edible hedge.
Hardy and drought tolerant once established.
