Description
Vaccinium angustifolium x corymbosum ‘Sunshine Blue’. 3.7L coir pot.
‘Sunshine Blue’ is one of my favourites, with delightful bell-shaped flowers, low chill requirements and lots of big berries.
This semi-deciduous / evergreen plant is ideal for containers and should grow to about 1.3m high by 1.3m wide.
‘Sunshine Blue’ enjoys a full sun to part shade position (some protection from the afternoon summer sun is recommended). Lots of sun generally results in more fruit.
Self pollinating.
It enjoys free draining, slightly acidic soil and is the most tolerant to higher pH levels.
Apply mulch to help keep the shallow roots cool and moist.
