You can plant the coir pot directly into the ground, which will eliminate root disturbance and help keep your plant happy. The roots will make their way through the pot and into the soil. The pot itself will decompose within two months. Alternatively, you can use it as a decorative pot plant as the coir pot will last between 12-18 months (then you can plant it in the ground).

Description

Borago officinalis.

Borage is a hardy, self-seeding annual which offers delightful, edible blue and pink star-shaped flowers in spring and summer.

The flowers will help attract bees and beneficial wasps to the garden.

The leaves are also edible.

Borage has a long history of medicinal and culinary use.

The plant grows to around 90cm in height, enjoys a full sun to part shade position and can handle various soil types with good drainage.
