Burdekin Plum – Pleiogynium timorense. 3.7L coir pot.
Also known as Tulip Plum, this rainforest tree should grow around 10m in height in the garden.
During summer, small yellow – green flowers will appear which will develop into fruit over the winter months.
The large, black fruit have a large stone in the middle. When the fruit is ripe, harvest them, but leave them for a few days before eating them as they are acidic and hard straight from the tree.
The plant prefers a sunny position in free draining soil.
