You can plant the coir pot directly into the ground, which will eliminate root disturbance and help keep your plant happy. The roots will make their way through the pot and into the soil. The pot itself will decompose within about two months in healthy, watered soil.

This perennial has soft grey – green foliage and produces mauve flower spikes in warm weather.
The plant contains nepetalactone, which is appealing to most cats.
It enjoys a full sun to part shade position in well-draining soil. It should grow to about 60cm high and will require moderate watering.
A hardy plant, it can handle coastal conditions and is ideal for pots.
