Description
Centranthus ruber ‘Alba’.
This hardy perennial is a lovely addition to gardens, offering large clusters of white star-shaped flowers from summer to autumn, ideal for attracting insects and adding a beautiful display of colour.
The plant enjoys a full sun to part shade position. It can handle dry, hot positions and can even tolerate poor quality soil.
It should grow to about 80cm high by 50cm wide and it is often well used in cottage-style gardens or for mixed borders.
Remove spent flowers and cut the foliage back to just above ground level in winter.
