You can plant the coir pot directly into the ground, which will eliminate root disturbance and help keep your plant happy. The roots will make their way through the pot and into the soil. The pot itself will decompose within about two months in healthy, watered soil.

Native to the south-western highlands of Ethiopia and surrounding areas, this sub-tropical, self-fertile shrub grows to around 3m in height.
It enjoys a warm, part shade position in fertile, well-draining soil.
Coffee offers clusters of sweet-smelling, star-shaped white flowers, followed by green berries that turn bright red as they mature.
