Description
Hypericum perforatum. 3.7L coir pot.
This evergreen, perennial herb offers yellow flowers in spring and summer.
The plant enjoys a full sun position (for best flowering results) and it’ll grow roughly 60cm high with a spreading habit.
It prefers lighter, sandy soils, although it can handle a variety of soil types.
Although not a culinary herb, the flowers are edible.
It’s a popular plant used for natural dyeing.
St John’s Wort is widely recognised as being a treatment for some forms of depression.
Traditionally, the plant was used topically for burns, muscle pains and abrasions.
