Description

Vaccinium macrocarpon. 1.1L coir pot.

Native to North America, this groundcover is traditionally found in wet areas such as swamps.

The plant enjoys a full sun to part shade position in very moist, acidic soil, and should grow about 20cm high by 90m wide.

Following the pale pink flowers are the popular red berries, which are high in vitamin C and antioxidants.

It usually takes around five years for full fruit production, and the plant can produce fruit for nearly one hundred years.

Cranberry need about a month or two where the temperature is below seven degrees Celsius, for fruit to form.
