The leaves feature a twisted edge, and have a taste similar to spearmint.
Due to the strong flavour of the leaves, they have numerous culinary uses, including salads, sauces and jellies, plus more.
The leaves also make a refreshing tea.
The plant enjoys moist, well draining fertile soil, in a full sun to part shade position.
Ideal for pots, it’ll grow about 50cm high by 90cm wide.
