Description

Murraya koenigii. 3.7L coir pot.

Native to Sri Lanka and India, this small evergreen tree grows to about 3m high by 1.5m wide and enjoys a full sun to part shade position in free draining soil.

The leaves are commonly fried and used in many Indian and Thai curries, chutneys, pickles and vegetable dishes.

Small fragrant white flowers appear in spring and summer, followed by small black berries in autumn.

The leaves are used in Ayurvedic medicine and are believed by some to have anti-disease properties.
