You can plant the coir pot directly into the ground, which will eliminate root disturbance and help keep your plant happy. The roots will make their way through the pot and into the soil. The pot itself will decompose within two months. Alternatively, you can use it as a decorative pot plant as the coir pot will last between 12-18 months (then you can plant it in the ground).

This fast growing subtropical tree offers small white flowers that the bees, butterflies and birds love.
The small yellow fruit can be eaten straight from the tree or used in savoury and sweet dishes and jams.
The plant enjoys a full sun to part shade position in free draining soil and should grow around 5m high by 3m wide.
