You can plant the coir pot directly into the ground, which will eliminate root disturbance and help keep your plant happy. The roots will make their way through the pot and into the soil. The pot itself will decompose within about two months in healthy, watered soil.

This hardy, fast-growing perennial offers fragrant leaves and bright blue flowers.
The plant enjoys a full sun to part shade position and can handle various soil types with good drainage.
It should grow around 1.5m high by 1.5m wide.
The plant has a long history of use in Ayurvedic medicine, believed to help treat heart and lung diseases (among other things).
