You can plant the coir pot directly into the ground, which will eliminate root disturbance and help keep your plant happy. The roots will make their way through the pot and into the soil. The pot itself will decompose within about two months in healthy, watered soil.
Actinidia arguta ‘Issai’. 3.7L coir pot.
This long-lived, deciduous vine produces delicate and delicious grape-sized fruit.
Fruit is produced after 2-3 years, with full cropping after 4-5 years.
The plant enjoys a full sun to part shade position in free draining soil and should grow around 3m high by 3m wide. Provide some protection from the hot afternoon summer sun.
Grow on a strong support and prune each year.
Self pollinating.
