Cymbopogon citratus. 1.1L coir pot.
Lemongrass is a tropical perennial herb native to South Asia and Maritime Southeast Asia.
The plant has a thick clumping habit and a sweet lemon scent.
The stems (culms) have been used for hundreds of years as a herbal medicine.
When taken as a tea, lemongrass can help to relieve stomach pains (among other things) and when used externally, it can help to treat fungal problems.
The plant enjoys fertile, well draining soil in a full sun or part shade location, and should grow about 1.2m high.
Great for containers.
