This hardy perennial has a long history of medicinal use.
Commonly taken as tea, the leaves, berries and flowers are believed to assist with intestinal and urinary issues, general sickness and heart problems. The roots of the plant are also believed to assist with stomach pain. Please do your own research.
Small yellow / creamy white flowers should appear for most of the year, helping to attract birds, bees and insects into the garden.
The plant enjoys a full sun position in fertile, well draining soil. It can tolerate sandy soils and salty conditions and it is drought tolerant.
It should grow to about 1.5m high by 1.5m wide.
