Description
Austromyrtus dulcis.
In late summer and early autumn, the plant will burst with a profusion of small, sweet tasting berries.
The plant enjoys a full sun to part shade position and should grow about 50 – 100cm in height and about 100cm in width.
The new growth is a lovely burgundy colour. Small white star-shaped flowers appear in summer and if the shrub is well-fed, then you can almost guarantee a strong yummy harvest of berries. If you trim the shrub lightly after harvesting, then you should be rewarded with another crop the following season.
