White, star-shaped flowers will appear in spring – summer, and if the shrub is happy and healthy, a yummy harvest of berries should follow. The berries offer a sweet and tangy flavour.
This hardy perennial enjoys a full sun to part shade position, can handle various soil types with good drainage, and should grow about 80cm high by 100cm wide.
Prune after fruiting to maintain a compact habit. Ideal as a low-growing edible hedge.
The new growth is a lovely burgundy colour.
