You can plant the coir pot directly into the ground, which will eliminate root disturbance and help keep your plant happy. The roots will make their way through the pot and into the soil. The pot itself will decompose within about two months in healthy, watered soil.

Synsepalum dulcificum. 1.1L coir pot.
Native to West Africa, this interesting shrub offers white flowers, followed by oval-shaped fruit which turns red when ripe.
When eaten, the fruit affects the taste buds, causing sour foods to taste sweet.
The plant enjoys a warm, part shade position in well draining acidic soil, and should grow around 3m high.
Slow growing.
