Moringa is a tree that has been adopted by many different cultures. It is a much-loved tree due to its versatility, from cleaning dirty water to providing highly nutritious food.
Its young shoots, flowers and young seed pods are high in antioxidants, nutrients and vitamins. The leaves are used in herbal teas, and dried / crushed into a powder for use in capsules. The roots can be peeled and used as a horseradish substitute.
Moringa is a fast growing tree and can get to heights of around 8m in the garden.
It prefers a warm, full sun position in fertile, free draining soil.
