Description
Mullein – Verbascum thapsus. 3.7L coir pot.
Native to Western Europe, this plant offers a large rosette of grey woolly leaves and a wonderful large spike of yellow flowers that the bees love.
Traditionally, the flowers and leaves have been used internally for asthma, bronchitis, urinary tract infections and coughs. The dried leaves can also be used as a tobacco substitute.
The plant enjoys a full sun position in well draining soil.
Once this annual flowers, the entire plant dies, but loads of new plants will take its place, as these plants seed heavily. The plant is deemed a weed in some areas.
