You can plant the coir pot directly into the ground, which will eliminate root disturbance and help keep your plant happy. The roots will make their way through the pot and into the soil. The pot itself will decompose within about two months in healthy, watered soil.

Native to South Africa, this hardy perennial offer glossy leaves, fragrant flowers and red fruit.
The fruit is high in vitamin C, and can be eaten fresh or made into a sauce.
The plant enjoys a full sun position in fertile soil, and should grow about 1m high by 2m wide.
Ideal for hedging.
