You can plant the coir pot directly into the ground, which will eliminate root disturbance and help keep your plant happy. The roots will make their way through the pot and into the soil. The pot itself will decompose within about two months in healthy, watered soil.

Description

Curcuma australasica. 3.7L coir pot.

Native to northern Australia, the rhizomes of this perennial plant can be used as a substitute for Asian turmeric.

Fruit is also produced, but it is not edible.

The plant enjoys a part shade position in rich, well draining soil, and should grow about 1m high by 1m wide.

Ideal for pots.
