You can plant the coir pot directly into the ground, which will eliminate root disturbance and help keep your plant happy. The roots will make their way through the pot and into the soil. The pot itself will decompose within about two months in healthy, watered soil.

Dichopogon fimbriatus.
The tubers can be eaten raw or cooked and the chocolate-scented flowers are edible. The flowers are ideal for attracting bees.
The plant enjoys a full sun to part shade position in free draining soil and should grow around 40cm high by 30cm wide.
Drought tolerant once established.
Ideal for pots.
