Description

Punica granatum ‘Mollar de Javita’. 3.7L coir pot.

This Spanish variety offers fruit with yellow – pale pink skin and soft seeds with a deep red – pink jelly-like coating.

The fruit can be eaten fresh or used to make juices or syrups.

Best suited for areas with cold winters and hot, dry summers.

Self-fertile, but fruit yields are often improved with cross-pollination from another plant.

The plant is deciduous, enjoys a full sun position in well-draining soil, and should grow around 5m high by 4m wide.

Drought and frost tolerant once established. Can handle coastal conditions.
