You can plant the coir pot directly into the ground, which will eliminate root disturbance and help keep your plant happy. The roots will make their way through the pot and into the soil. The pot itself will decompose within about two months in healthy, watered soil.

Native to Western Europe and Northern Ireland (it’s not from Rome as the name suggests), this mat-forming, low growing perennial offers lovely apple-scented foliage.
The flowers can be used to make a calming tea and the plant can be used as a lawn substitute in low foot traffic areas.
The plant enjoys a full sun to part shade position, often flowering better in full sun.
