Description
Gynura procumbens. 3.7L coir pot.
Also known as Longevity Spinach, some cultures believe eating three leaves a day will prolong life.
The leaves are high in vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, B6, B9, C, E, K, as well as calcium, iron, phosphorus and potassium.
The leaves of the plant are often used in the same way that spinach would be used and they’re ideal for omelettes, salads, sandwiches, stir fries, juices and smoothies. Also used in tea.
Sambung will tolerate most conditions, although it prefers moist, fertile soils in a part shade position with good air flow.
Ideal for containers.
Sambung is a great perennial ground cover, and will grow to about 40cm – 80cm in height.
