Description
Heimia salicifolia. 3.7L coir pot.
Sinicuichi is native to the south-west of America, but has also been found in California and Argentina.
It is a perennial herb with narrow leaves which will get to heights of around 1.5m.
Commonly used as a cooking spice. It is also used in antiseptic solutions and essential oils.
It was once used by Aztecs and is still used by Mexican shamans. They regard it as a sacred herb that will enable those who digest the yellow flowers to have vivid recall of events past. They also believe it can deepen consciousness and create lucid dreams.
This herb is associated with fertility goddesses and due to this, many women from Mexico and Central America have used it to aid in fertility by bathing in the herb.
Sinicuichi likes a full sun position in fertile, well-draining soil.
Trim the plant regularly. Trimming it will help encourage new growth for use.
