Description
Tasmannia lanceolata. Male. 3.7L coir pot.
This evergreen shrub produces small creamy white / yellow flowers in spring.
The berries (on the female plants), flowers and leaves can be eaten fresh or dried, and they’ll add a peppery taste to meals.
The plant is fairly hardy, preferring moist, fertile, well-draining soils in part shade positions.
It should grow around three to five metres in height, but it can easily be maintained to a smaller size.
Medicinally, the plant has been used to treat stomach aches, colic and skin disorders.
