You can plant the coir pot directly into the ground, which will eliminate root disturbance and help keep your plant happy. The roots will make their way through the pot and into the soil. The pot itself will decompose within two months. Alternatively, you can use it as a decorative pot plant as the coir pot will last between 12-18 months (then you can plant it in the ground).

Thymus ‘Westmoreland’.
High in many vitamins, minerals and antioxidants, this sun loving herb forms a mild pink carpet in spring.
It is a low growing plant that enjoys a dry, full sun position with good drainage and good air movement. The plant will die if planted in heavy wet soils.
It’ll grow to about 25cm high by 50cm wide and requires very little water.
Thyme can be used in all stages of cooking and is great for enhancing strong flavoured meats.
