You can plant the coir pot directly into the ground, which will eliminate root disturbance and help keep your plant happy. The roots will make their way through the pot and into the soil. The pot itself will decompose within about two months in healthy, watered soil.

Wasabia japonica ‘Mazuma’. 3.7L coir pot.
Mazuma is one of the hottest of the wasabi plants available.
Wasabi japonica prefers a full shade location in moist soil and will grow to around 40cm high by 40cm wide.
All parts of the plant are edible, including the leaves, stem and flowers.
You can remove the stems and leaves on the side and the plant will continue to grow from the top.
It can take up to three years for the plant to reach maturity.
