Description
Chelidonium majus.
Native to Europe, this hardy, fast growing perennial herb has a long history of medicinal use and was often used to treat warts (also known as Wartweed).
When chewed, the roots were said to relieve toothache.
Tea was taken to assist with inflammation, liver disorders and much more.
The plant offers yellow flowers, interesting seed pods and a yellow sap when injured.
The plant grows around 90cm in height, enjoys a full sun to part shade position and can handle various soil types with good drainage.
