You can plant the coir pot directly into the ground, which will eliminate root disturbance and help keep your plant happy. The roots will make their way through the pot and into the soil. The pot itself will decompose within about two months in healthy, watered soil.

Description

Synsepalum dulcificum. 1.1L coir pot.

This interesting African shrub grows to about 3m – 4m in height.

The plant offers white flowers, followed by oval-shaped fruit which turns red when ripe.

The ‘miracle’ name refers to the fruit, which when eaten affects the taste buds, allowing highly acidic food to be eaten for up to two hours.

The plant is suited to warm tropical climates and enjoys a sheltered, full sun position in well draining soil.
