You can plant the coir pot directly into the ground, which will eliminate root disturbance and help keep your plant happy. The roots will make their way through the pot and into the soil. The pot itself will decompose within about two months in healthy, watered soil.

Found mainly in coastal regions of New Zealand and southern Australia, this perennial succulent ground cover offers edible leaves, similar in taste to spinach.
Small, yellow flowers will appear, followed by edible red berries.
The plant enjoys a full sun position in free draining soil, and should grow about 30cm high by 2m wide.
