Description
Humulus lupulus ‘Aureus’. 3.7L coir pot.
This deciduous vine offers attractive golden foliage, providing summer shade.
The fragrant, pine-scented cones appear in summer.
The cones lack some of the floral, fruity character present in other popular brewing hops I grow, such as ‘Cascade’ and ‘Chinook’.
The plant will die back in winter and will need to be cut down to the ground annually to encourage new growth.
Hops enjoy a full sun to part shade position in well draining soil, and should grow around 4m high.
Grow on a trellis.
